Hello from the UK

Postby BIGBADWULF on Mon Apr 13, 2009 7:04 pm

Hi all,

my name is andy, also known as Wulf, I live in the NW of england and drive a Nissan Patrol,

been a long time visitor to 4x4offroads but only just noticed the forum.

It as been a long time ambition of mine to visit Iceland to explore the Highlands in summer,
hoping to do it maybe next year?

My patrol is a 1997 2.8TD SWB, pretty much standard apart from a 2 inch lift and 33 inch tyres.
Hopefully soon replacing the RD28T engine though with a RB25DET from a Nissan Skyline :D
should be interesting ;)

heres a pic or two, look forward to exploring rest of site,

Hey Andy!

Welcome to the forum - glad you finally found it 8-)

Nice Patrol you got there - thanks for sharing :)

The tall and narrow house looks kind'a strange. I picture it more as one house in a row in an English town. Any story you can share about it?

Should be easy for you to take the ferry to Iceland one day - just pray for good weather...

thanks for the welcome Thrandur! :)

The "house" is called the Pigeon tower, and was used for pigeons believe it or not!

please click this link for a little information on it,

It is on a short rocky lane that I sometimes drive my patrol along, and my young daughter
likes to play in the oriental gardens that surround it
