I picked up the new Nissan Patrol 3.0lTD CRD GU recently after saying goodbye to the old 2003 Patrol GU III the day before.
Wow. I couldn't believe the difference between the too. I didn't think they had changed much particularily after a brief test drive of the new GU. And boys she looks a treat too.
I've purchase the Patrol with the following fitted via the dealer:
- OME 2" suspension lift and sterring damper
- 285/75 R17 BFG mud terrains
- ARB bullbar with integrated fog lights
- ARB side steps and rails
- IPF driving lights
- Safari snorkel
- ARB front air-locker
- tow bar
- cargo barrier
- tinted windows
- satnav and reversing camera.
So while the basics are done there are few more to come. So the mods (or should I say add-ons) are already under way.
The UHF, dual battery kit, dif breathers, Warn 9500lb winch and indash DVD unit have been installed.
I was a bit unsure on how to terminate the GME anntenna properley. Any information would be great!
And finally I have a double din DVD/bluetooth/usb/tv touch screen that I bought off ebay to replace the OEM radio. Should be fun! I'm thinking of hooking up a front facing camera controlled from a switch on the dash that will hook into the camera port on the unit. The car already has the Nissan NAv and reversing camera so another reversing camer is pretty pointless. So the question here is, how do you pull the facia off to get to the radio?
And finally in this post, who has experience with the Nissan Nav? I haven't used Nav before but this one doesn't seem crash hot. It keeps getting lost everytime I stop at a set of lights. Some comments would be great. Has anyone used the spare inputs for anything?
Anyway, future mods will be aftermarket replacement tail lights, an underbody air tank and a home a made draw system.

In dash touch screen DVD player come up quite well.
Here's a pic of my car after the long weekend up at Big River. Pretty dirty in and out.

And some pics from a trip last weekend:

and a video clip for good measure...
