Series 2a Land Rover

In addition to my Land Rover Discovery series 2, I've just treated myself to a classic Land Rover, a 1970 Series 2a that has been rebuilt on a galvanized chassis with a new bulkhead. It has its original 2.25 diesel engine although the gearbox has been uprated with syncromesh gears and an overdrive. Other than that its pretty much standard at the moment. I've given it a check over and service this weekend and fitted some newer and more comfortable seats. In the course of the next few months I will be giving it a 1" lift and some larger and more suitable tyres and probably uprating the headlights to a more modern brightness.
