Here are the dates for the upcoming 2009 Formula Off Road season. As I learn about changes I will update this post.

Nordic Countries Formula Off Road 2009 Schedule:
April 25.-26. - Matrand Norway
July 18.-19. - TBD Iceland
August 22.-23. - Kangasala Finland
September 5.-6. - Skien Norway
September 19.-20. - Uppsala Sweden

Iceland Formula Off Road 2009 Schedule:
May 23. - Hella/Selfoss Iceland
May 30. - Akureyri Iceland
June 27. - Egilsstaðir Iceland
July 11. - Blönduós Iceland
July 19. - Reykjavik - Iceland

Norway Formula Off Road 2009 Schedule:
April 25.-26. - Matrand Norway
September 5.-6. - Skien Norway
October 3. - Oppdal Norway

Sweden Formula Off Road 2009 Schedule:
September 19.-20. - Uppsala Sweden

Denmark Formula Off Road 2009 Schedule:
June 13.-14. - TBD Denmark

Can anyone advise whether the Icelandic Cup Event at Hella on Saturday 23 May 2009 will also be the World Cup Event over 2 days, Sat 23 May and Sun 24 May 2009, as it was last year (24/25 May 2008).

I think there won't be a World Cup this year. Instead there will be a North European championship, NEZ. Don't know much more about that at the moment.

There will most likely only be one international championship in Iceland next summer. So - Hella will not be a double day event.

BTW;
The Danish race in June is the NEZ Formula Offroad Championship 2009.

This will be the big thing in Formula Offroad this year, one race over two days including 16 tracks :twisted:

Coming to Hella event on Saturday 23rd May with 8 other 'Lawnmower Racing' brits. Can someone please confirm that it starts at 13:00 and advise the best time to get there to walk around the pits.

The event starts at 13:00 sharp.

There are 16 cars and 15 competitors registered

If you plan on being there to see the cars in the pits you should be there half an hour early. The drivers and mechanics will be busy preparing the trucks though - so try not to get in the way too much ! After the competition you get a better chance to inspect the cars.

Should be fun 8-)

Hi all,

can anybody confirm the start time of the June 27. - Egilsstaðir race?
My friends and I would like to book the flights there.
We are visiting the country only for couple of days so via air is the only option arrive.
Also, is the site far away from the airport?
Need to arrange transportation from there as well..

Hi Marko

As far as I know the event will start at 13:00.

The site is about 5-10 minutes drive from the Egilsstaðir airport.

You could take a taxi or use one of the car rentals at the airport...
