Body Lift Kits
Body lift kits are in most cases quite easy for the do-it-yourselfer.
If your truck is built on a frame it is a fairly simple matter to lift the body. The body is usually attached to the frame with about 12 bolts. You must then get some nylon or aluminum blocks and longer bolts!
Keep in mind that the engine, drive train and gas tank are attached to the frame. You may have to make some arrangements regarding that.
You can get simple body lift kits for as low as $130.
It is not advicable to install larger than 3" lift blocks. The drivability might suffer and it is potentially dangerous.
